LakeVille Community Schools has sold Otter Lake Elementary. The building has been a part of the journey of thousands of staff and students over the years. I know many of you have fond memories of Otter Lake. The new owners plan to convert the school to senior living. We are sad to see it leave our district, but excited that it will become a part of something new and have a positive impact on another group of people for many years to come.

Dear Families,
This year, we are making a small change to how we celebrate birthdays at school. To keep our learning environment safe, healthy, and inclusive for all students, we will no longer be allowing food treats (cupcakes, cookies, candy, etc.) for birthdays.
👉 Instead, families are encouraged to celebrate by bringing in something non-food to make the day special for their child and classmates! Some fun ideas include:
A special pencil, eraser, or bookmark ✏️
Stickers or small trinkets 🌟
A classroom game or book donated in your child’s honor 📚
A fun activity, like reading a favorite story to the class 📖
We are excited to celebrate each child’s special day in a way that allows everyone to join in safely. Thank you for your support in helping us create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
