Falcon Nation! Please congratulate Caden and Cameron Kennedy for winning the Team Roping Event this past Saturday at the Michigan High School Rodeo at MSU. Their season continues through June when they hope to qualify to compete at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Gillette, Wyoming. Caden also competes in Tie Down Calf Roping. Falcon Nation! Sophomore Morgan Patterson is a member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter in Lapeer. She went to the state FFA convention in Lansing yesterday. Her chapter had been selected as one of the top 3 chapters in the state. Morgan and a partner from her chapter had to give a 20 minute presentation about their chapter and how they make a difference in their community. Because of Morgan's presentation, her chapter won the honor of being named 2nd in the state. Great job Morgan! Go Falcons!!!π―πͺπΌ
Falcon Nation! Juniors Bree Anzures and Kayla Reinhardt, members of GCI's Digital Art, Design, and Broadcasting class, participated March 4th in the regional GCI SkillsUSA Bulletin Board competition. They earned the right to compete at the state level in Grand Rapids the weekend of April 9th! Skills USA is an organization that helps their audience become successful employees. The regional competition was held at SVSU. Kayla was in charge of the photography, and Bree was in charge of the overall board design. Great work Bree and Kayla! Go Falcons!!!π―πͺπΌ
