Homecoming Parade Information
The parade will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Otter Lake. Line-up begins at 1 pm with the parade beginning at 2 pm. The parade forms are due no later than October 17. Please return to Mrs. Newcombe in the High School.
Reminders:
We do not provide parking at the parade for line-up site participants. However, there will be a student drop-off where you may pull up and let your student out of the vehicle and continue to drive. Student Council members will be available to help walk the younger participants to their float location.
Please adhere to the rules of arriving between 1-1:30 pm for line-up. Arriving earlier than this time, including to finish setting up your float, does not allow our Student Council members to complete their end of the set-up and will not allow the event to run as smoothly as we like.
Additionally, please remind all participants (students, staff, parents, community members, etc.) that this is an event run by students who actively participate in Student Council at the High School. There will inevitably be snags in the set-up and running of this event, so we ask for your patience during this event. We are working towards creating confident student leaders!
Political candidates are not permitted to participate in the parade in any capacity.
Candy is allowed, but may only be tossed during the parade route, not at the line-up site.
Youth coaches - please make this clear to your participants and family members. To help keep our line-up site clean, please consider giving your participants candy once you are already on the parade route and not before. If the teams are unable to refrain from throwing candy at the line-up, candy will be removed from the event entirely.
Floats must be street legal (8.5' wide X 60' long - including vehicle).
