Hi! My name is Marisa, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the Coordinator of the Expanded Learning Program (Kids Club). I officially stepped into this role on January 5th, after working with Kids Club since mid-October. My family is proud to be in its fifth generation in the district, making this role especially meaningful to me. I look forward to creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for our Kids Club students and families. I’m also excited about upcoming field trips and our summer program—we have many great ideas and can’t wait to bring them to the kids! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at Columbiaville Elementary.

January is Board of Education Recognition Month, and we are proud to recognize the dedicated members of our Board of Education. Their leadership, commitment, and countless hours of service help guide our district forward and ensure the best possible opportunities for our students. Thank you for your vision, support, and unwavering dedication to LakeVille Community Schools!

Softball Winter Workout for Saturday, January 17th is cancelled!

🎉 January is School Board Recognition Month, and LakeVille Community Schools is proud to celebrate! We join hundreds of school districts across Michigan in saying THANK YOU to our amazing, all-volunteer Board of Education: Ken Burkhardt, Shantell Bennett, Vickie Luoma, Aharon Roberts, Fawn Colombatto, Devin May, and Tony Bryant.
Tuesday night, parents, staff, and students showed their appreciation with heartfelt gestures at our Board of Education meeting. Elementary students warmed everyone's hearts with a sweet winter-themed speech and gifted blankets to each board member. Secondary students presented a homemade calendar (featuring each grade’s photo!) and, as always, the board received delicious homemade syrup crafted by our middle schoolers as part of a fun science project.
No matter what 2026 brings, our dedicated board members will keep working hard to make LakeVille the best it can be for our kids and community.

Congratulations to Senior, Jake Hascall - 100 Wins!

Congratulations to Alex Terwilliger on your commitment to Terra State Community College to further your career in Soccer!

Quinton Black is our Alumni Spotlight for January!
Quinton is a member of the graduating class of 2019. Quinton studied in the trades and is now a licensed electrician with Great Lakes Power and Lighting!
While at LakeVille, Quinton loved playing sports. “We didn't win much but football was my passion.” He also enjoyed wrestling. Being on the mats was a great way to spend time.
Quinton says when he was wrestling, Mr. Huggler was his guy. He was encouraging and helped keep his head in the game. Quinton’s mom was pretty good too. Although she was the only teacher to ever have him "flip my card" for being bad in school. Mr. Southern in 5th grade was a great teacher. He gave great advice and pushed Quinton to do well.
If Quinton were to go back in time to give himself advice, he would say to try everything. You will never know if you like it of you don't try it. Quinton played football from 3rd grade until he graduated, ran track in middle school and high school, wrestled in high school, played baseball his senior year, and dabbled in basketball and soccer!
