Keep Kids Safe
Michigan’s secure firearm storage law requires firearms to be unloaded and locked or stored in a locked container if minors are likely to be present, to prevent unauthorized access and reduce unintentional injuries. In support of our commitment to safety, we are legally required to distribute the Michigan Department of Education’s Safe Storage Notice to all parents or legal guardians of enrolled students each year. Most incidents happen when kids find unsecured guns.
