Setting Up Outlook

• Use this tipsheet to configure Outlook (email) for a district computer that is new to you.

Common Hardware Issues

• Pens won't work on the board
• Sound won't work through the board
• Turning the Split Screen on or off - Note that this will affect calibration.
• Setting up to record with the USB mics

Software and Online Applications

• Recovering lost files from My Documents - This works for most files that were saved previously.
• These tutorials for Photo Story were created for a specific class project, but they can be helpful for an overview of the program's features.
  • Tutorial 1 - Setting up images and basic editing
  • Tutorial 2 - Recording the narration and mixing down the final video file.

Blackboard Tips

• Adding new assignments to Blackboard
• Enrolling a student into your course
• Resetting a password for a student

  • Name of the course as you'd like it in Blackboard.
  • The course numbers from any of your classes that will be included in that Blackboard class.  If you don't know the numbers, at least send the class names and which hours they are.
  • Here's an example: "Please make one course in Blackboard called Algebra 2 Sem 1 that includes my first two hours (05042A-01 and 05042A-02)."
• Exporting content for a course - A necessary end-of-year process for content you want to reuse in future courses
